Our tradespeople are among the most experienced in the industry for garage conversions so we can quickly turn your cold and under-utilised garage into a cosy and habitable space, leading to an increase in value of your property.
A typical garage conversion can be completed in just under one week at a base cost of just £5,000.
Consider all the hassle that comes with moving house: solicitor’s fees, tax and removal costs, plus packing, doesn’t it make far more sense economically to convert your existing home’s under-used garage into something wonderful? Some ideas to inspire your transformation could be:
A typical single garage is approximately 150 sqft - way too small to fit in a family car without having to squeeze yourself out the door, however, that could offer lots of extra living space if you convert it into an integral part of your home.
We offer many different garage conversion combinations from straightforward single conversions to double garage conversion; both one and two stories extensions. Double garage conversions can be transformed into one large space, probably the largest space in your house, or sub-divided to suit differing requirements. Our conversions are created to be bespoke and to suit your own individual specifications.
We can work to your instruction or offer a design service that provides architectural drawings and building control submissions in compliance with Scottish Building Regulations.
We are Scotland’s premier specialist garage conversion company.
Our turnaround time is extremely quick from the start of planning throughout the build process – we can even decorate and install your furniture for you – now that’s service!
Our work includes a guarantee.
Our customer satisfaction testimonials speak for themselves, we’re fast, friendly clean and reliable too.
Local Authority Planning Permission for Garage Conversions
In the majority of cases there is no requirement for planning consent on a typical garage conversion, however here at Home and Garage Conversions, we can confirm this with your local Planning Authority and if required submit a full planning application as part of our service.
In cases where consent may be required, then we’ll advise on any relevant planning issues and provide the services of a qualified Architect, or you can bring in your own if you prefer.
Building Warrant approval will be required for the works. Works should not commence until the warrant has been granted.
